Job Description:

AutoForm is looking for a technically strong Sales Engineer to develop the market for its sheet metal forming simulation software in Vietnam. This is not a software-development position. We are looking for someone who comes from the applied side of the industry — an engineer who has used simulation, CAD/CAE or forming tools in practice — and who can therefore engage potential customers as a peer, on equal technical footing.

You will be the primary point of contact for prospects and customers in the region, combining consultative sales with genuine engineering understanding to demonstrate the value of our solutions across the die-making and body-in-white (BIW) process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop and grow new business with stamping plants, tool shops, Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs in the Vietnamese automotive and sheet-metal industry.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor — understand customer forming and BIW challenges and communicate the technical value of the software to engineers, project leads and decision-makers.
  • Prepare and deliver product presentations, live demonstrations, proofs of concept and benchmarks that connect the software’s capabilities to real production problems.
  • Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle: qualification, solution scoping, proposal, negotiation and close.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and forecast, reporting to regional management, application engineers and headquarters teams.
  • Gather market intelligence on customers, competitors, pricing and industry trends in the region to inform strategy.
  • Represent AutoForm at trade shows, technical seminars and customer events as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education — Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Software, Simulation or a related technical field.
  • Software skills — Hands-on experience with simulation (FEM) and/or CAD/CAE software; experience with sheet metal forming simulation is strongly preferred.
  • Industry experience — Experience in the automotive industry; familiarity with the body-in-white (BIW) process is a strong plus.
  • Core competencies — Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical detail into customer value.
  • Communication — Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to engage both engineers and management with confidence.
  • Work style — Ability to work independently with strong self-management and organizational skills.
  • Languages — Professional working proficiency in Vietnamese and English.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in a technical sales, application engineering or pre-sales role.
  • An established network within the Vietnamese automotive or tool-and-die community.
  • Experience working with or reporting into an international organization.

Benefits:

  • The opportunity to build and own a growing market for a market-leading simulation technology.
  • A technical, collaborative environment with support from experienced application engineers and headquarters.
  • Competitive compensation with a performance-based component, plus training and long-term development.
  • A clear path to grow into senior technical-sales or regional-management responsibility as the market develop.
